| Sarah
was born in Austin and raised by 2 parents who could probably be best described
as “hippies.” Although she was born here, and has always considered
Austin home, she spent most of her school years in the hill country and attended
Dripping Springs and Marble Falls schools. Because she was raised in the
country, she feels like she developed a deep appreciation for nature and
preservation of our natural resources. This appreciation has carried over
to present day and is reflected in what she does with her free time. It
is important to her to take the time to get outside and just “be”
whether through swimming in Barton Springs, hiking the greenbelt or camping
in many of the beautiful camping areas around Austin.
In the Fall of 2003 Sarah had the opportunity to teach English in France for 7 months. She fell in love with the people, the food and the beautiful laid back life style. Sarah had the opportunity to visit other countries such as Spain where she was blown away by the culture and architecture and the Netherlands where the lifestyle is a mix of the traditional and contemporary. Sarah also spent much of her free time and vacation hiking the hills around Figeac (her home base) and an unforgettable vacation hiking near Marseille along the Mediterranean. It was with mixed feelings when in April of 2004 the program finished and she came home to her friends and family. Sarah recently took up a running program and ran her first two marathons in Fall of 2007. Sarah began her real estate career at the age of 16 and has been in the industry ever since. She has had the opportunity to see the business from all angles from Call Coordinator to Office Manager, from Listing Agent to Buyer's Agent and everywhere in between. Why weird in Austin? Sarah was born here and associates herself with Austin values. She thought it made sense to pursue an avenue of real estate and feels passionate about helping to preserve the “weirdness of Austin.” So many people move to Austin because of what they have heard about Austin and are drawn by its unique spirit. The preservation of Austin and “original Austin” have been captured in the phrase “Keep Austin Weird.” Sarah is looking to work with unique people who are also drawn to Austin by its unique spirit. Does this sound like you? If so, give her a call today and tell Sarah how she can help you with your real estate needs. |
